Warranty
The warranty covers 12 months from the date of purchase.
Q: How long does the battery last / What area can it cover on a single charge?
A: The battery is 5,200 mAh. It can run up to ≈ 240 minutes (in favorable conditions), enough to cover substantial floor space before needing to return to recharge.
Q: How much suction power does it have?
A: Up to about 5,500 Pa, which is strong for this class of robot vacuums; good for picking up dust, pet hair, debris from carpets and hard floors.
Q: Can it mop as well as vacuum?
A: Yes, it has a wet mop function. You get a combined dustbin & water tank, and you can adjust water flow via the app (30 levels). But note: the mop is drag-type (cloth) rather than a scrubbing or vibrating mop, so for heavy stains/manual scrubbing might still be needed.
Q: What about self-emptying?
A: The “+” model comes with the RockDock Plus base which has a 2.5 L dust bag, so you can often go up to ~7 weeks without emptying, depending on how dirty your home is.
Q: Does it work on multiple floors?
A: Yes — it supports multi-floor mapping (up to four separate floor plans) so it can remember layouts for different levels of your home.
Q: Can it avoid obstacles / pet messes?
A: It has obstacle avoidance (“Reactive Tech”) to help detect and go around objects. Also useful are features like no-go zones via the app.
Q: Is it loud?
A: In balanced or quieter modes, noise is moderate; in highest suction it’s louder. One review had ~67 dB in “Balanced” mode.
Q: What maintenance is required?
A: You’ll need to clean/replace mop cloths, clean filters, brush rollers. Empty/replace the base station dust bag occasionally (depending on usage). Cleaning wheels and sensors occasionally to ensure proper mapping and obstacle detection.
Q: What types of floors is it good for / limitations?
A: Works well on hard floors, low-medium pile carpets. The drag-type mop is fine for regular spill / dust cleanups but less ideal for dried or sticky messes. Also, cleaning tight corners or edge skirting boards may be a challenge. Thresholds (door sills) under ~20 mm are usually handled; higher ones may block or slow it.
Q: Does it work with voice assistants or smart home integrations?
A: Yes — supports Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant. You can also control via the Roborock app (scheduling, zones, etc.).
Q: What WiFi / connectivity requirements are there?
A: Needs a 2.4 GHz WiFi network — many robot vacuums don’t support 5 GHz. Good signal strength helps for responsiveness (especially for mapping updates, commands).
Q: How tall is it?
A: Can it fit under furniture?Height is about 96.5 mm (≈ 3.8 in). Width is ~350 mm, depth ~353 mm. So it can fit under many low furniture items, but check the clearance where you want to dock or where furniture is very low.
